Before I go on a trip, I often wonder why I do it. I wonder what I'm looking for. Am I going to the conquest of the world, or the conquest of myself? Do I feel like I still have something to learn? Or do I leave to travel, without necessarily looking for an answer to a question? After traveling and thinking a lot about this questioning, I came to a conclusion. A conclusion? MANY conclusions ... because to go on a journey, it is to leave to the discovery of a multitude of things.

First, for me, traveling is searching for spectacular landscapes. Not that I do not appreciate Quebec landscapes - quite the contrary! - but rather to seek a..natural change of scenery. To want to shout MAGNIFICENT !!!! in front of a breathtaking landscape, and to be nailed to silence in front of a landscape full of wisdom and beauty. It is also looking for a new adrenaline: hiking in places still unexplored by yourself, being astonished at every turn, every detour of trails, it provides an electrifying feeling!

I also search for the discovery of new faces. To search for new smiles, laughing eyes, faces that will tell a lot about the stories of people's lives. I go in search of these mornings watching the sunrise in the company of strangers. I go in search of these connections that are created around a fire, or a tea. Of those laughter exchanged while running in the rain, or on the bumpy streets of life.

Traveling is also about finding new memories. Building a new bank of memories, which can be dusted off when the call of travel is insistent, and that the moment is not propitious. It is seeking the same sensations that at home ... but under a new perception. Feeling the wind, but in a glacial valley that one would never have imagined. Immerse yourself in the salty air of the ocean, but thousands of miles away from the one we know.

Finally, it is still and always to go to the discovery of oneself. Seek peace of mind, inner calm, where one would never have thought to find it. It is imbued with beauty, to be able to take it out little by little when it is needed. It is for the music that our footsteps will have left here and there and for those smiles that we will have sowed under the sun, under the rain, and under the stars.
